synesthesia

By Mariam-Webster definition, synesthesia “a concomitant sensation especially : a subjective sensation or image of a sense (as of color) other than the one (as of sound) being stimulated”.

As long as I can remember, I have experienced vivid synesthesia in the cross association between tastes and shapes, smells and shapes, people as color, music as sounds and shapes, et cetera. Inspired deeply by Disneys Fantasia growing up, I have always been eager to recreate the concept of pairing music and visuals. Animation gives me the opportunity to create experiences that feel multi-sensory, and as someone with synesthesia facilitates my ability to share my reality with the rest of the world.
